Miller was solid in August, going 2-0 with a 1.84 ERA. He allowed just three earned runs in 14.2 innings, striking out 14.
HOT- Jonathan Papelbon
The Red Sox closer was lights out in August, notching five saves with a 2-0 record. In 11 games Papelbon did not allow a run, giving up just two hits and striking out 12.
