From traditional Oktoberfest beers to pumpkin ales, Made-in-Massachusetts autumn seasonal brews are out on store shelves. Here are some to keep an eye out for.
Wachusett Octoberfest
Wachusett makes a relatively simple, traditional Octoberfest. It's a great place to start. (A.B.V. 5.2%)
Mayflower's dark wheat beer combines the fruity aroma and bready character of traditional wheat beers with the malty richness of dark ales for a medium-bodied beer that is just right for the crisp days of autumn. (5.8% ABV)
Berkshire Oktoberfest Lager
Their traditional Marzen-style lager happens to be a favorite of ours. (ABV 6.8%)

Pretty Things Babayaga
Pretty Things is one of those breweries that has all the beer aficionados talking, and for good reason. Their fall offering is an export stout (7.0%)
Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale
Technically, they are just outside of Mass. in Portsmouth, NH. But Smutty was founded by the folks at the Northampton Brewery. (ABV 5.6%)
Samuel Adams Harvest Collection
Sam Adams tweaked their Harvest Collection this year. Their 12-pack contains Boston Lager, Octoberfest, Hazel Brown, Latitude 48 IPA, Dunkelweisen and Harvest Pumpkin Ale. It's only around until the end of October.
Ipswich Harvest Ale
This North Shore brewery is celebrating 20 years in the biz. Their Harvest Ale is heavy on the hops, good balance. (ABV: 6.9%)
Blue Hills Brewery
Blue Hills Brewery puts out a spicy pumpkin-flavored lager Stingy Jack Pumpkin Lager, and traditional German-style lager Okto Brau! Both are available in bombers, growlers, and kegs.
