Zolak On Patriots-Ravens: Never Heard Gillette Stadium So Loud

BOSTON (CBS) - Whether you watched on television or were there to witness in person, Saturday night's AFC Divisional round game between New England and Baltimore was a contest for the ages.

The Patriots completed the thrilling comeback and beat the rival Ravens 35-31 at Gillette after overcoming two 14-point deficits, something that's never been done before in NFL postseason history.

98.5 The Sports Hub's Scott Zolak barely slept this past weekend, but on Monday morning to open the show with Andy Gresh, Zo talked about the Gillette Stadium atmosphere and how raucous it was.

"I could not wait to get in here today. It was the greatest game to ever be a part of and to call. In the short time that I've done [Patriots color analysis], we've done some big games; coming back down 24-0 to Denver -- that wasn't a playoff game though. This was...," Zolak started and stopped, almost at a loss for words. "This was an emotional, up-and-down roller coaster of a game. It seemed like they didn't have a pulse, they got back into it and then they let it go again. It seemed dire at times. It seemed like that was the ball game, then they brought themselves back; just one thing after another."

Zolak tweeted early Sunday morning he's never been at Gillette and felt the broadcast booth shake before. He repeated that sentiment on Monday, and shared how special the fans were during that game.

"[Andy Gresh and I] have done this show for a long time, and we've talked about Gillette Stadium and the crowd, whether or not it's electric or loud -- that place rocked the other night, and it's a credit to you people," Zo said directly to the fans.

"You sucked it up. I don't know how you people stayed warm, and I don't know how you hung for the amount of time that you did. It's a credit to you. That team reacted to the noise. I reacted to the noise. You were the 12th man the other night. People talk about Seattle and everything, but that was as loud as I've ever heard that stadium get."
