Youkilis Placed on DL with Muscle Tear
Kevin Youkilis is the latest member of the Red Sox to be placed on the disabled list. He was today put on the 15 day DL with a torn muscle in his hand. Youkilis suffered the injury during Monday night's game against the Indians.The severity of the tear is unknown at this time but it may require surgery. If it does require surgery his season will be over. Manager Terry Francona says doctors are "somewhat perplexed" with the injury at the base of Youkilis' right thumb.
