Youkilis Leaves Game with Thumb Injury
Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkilis injured his right hand during his first at-bat against the Cleveland Indians on Monday night. Youkilis returned to the field for an inning following the injury, but then exited the game. Victor Martinez moved from behind the plate to 1B with Kevin Cash entering the game to catch. The injury is being reported as a jammed right thumb.
