Yankees Win Without A-Rod

Sabathia joins Tampa's David Price as the only 14 game winners in the American League. Alex Rodriguez was scratched from the lineup after being hit in the left leg with a ball off the bat of Lance Berkman in batting practice. Robinson Cano replaced ARod in the cleanup spot and finished 2-3 with an RBI.
John Lackey (10-7) went 6 innings giving up 5 earned runs on 8 hits, 3 walks, and 7 Ks.
Mariano Rivera picked up his 23rd save of the season for New York with a perfect 9th inning.
Offensively for Boston, Victor Martinez hit his 10th HR of the season and Mike Lowell had an RBI double.
