Wreckage Of Missing Fishing Boat Found Off Mass. Coast
BOSTON (CBS) – The wreckage of a fishing boat that was reported missing in December has been discovered between Provincetown and Cape Ann.
The submerged wreckage of the 45-foot Foxy Lady II was found after fishing boats reported being entangled while trawling in the area. An underwater camera was used to confirm that it was the missing boat.
On December 17, 2012, the Foxy Lady II and its two crewmembers were reported overdue by the captain's girlfriend. The next day, a life raft and a buoy washed ashore in Saugus and Hull.
The captain, 26-year-old Wally Green, and 50-year-old Wayne Young are still missing. They are both from Deer Island, Maine.
The Coast Guard is investigating the area where the boat was found.
The Foxy Lady II was homeported in Gloucester.
