Worcester Sharks Want To Reimburse Rob Gronkowski's $7,500 Fine
BOSTON (CBS) - Last week Rob Gronkowski was fined 7, 500 dollars for his spike after a touchdown. The NFL thought the spike was too big and in an opponents direction. Well Rob may get some help covering that fine.
The Worcester Sharks would love to reimburse Gronk of that money. They want the Pats tight end to spike the puck before a game in February and they will give him 7,500 dollars for that spike. The game is on February 24th at the DCU Center in Worcester and the Sharks are taking on the Providence Bruins. Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd, thinks this would be a great cause. That same night the Sharks will be hosting "March of Dimes Night" and the second annual Boy Scout sleep over. This surely will bring people in.
"The Sharks would be more than happy to reimburse Gronkowski to spike the puck before a Worcester Sharks game, said Mudd. "Sharks fans are Patriots fans and I know that they would enjoy watching Gronkowski show us how to properly spike a puck at center ice and sign some autographs. I hope Rob takes us up on the offer."
No word from Gronk just yet.
