Worcester 8-Year-Old Found Unharmed After Extensive Overnight Search
WORCESTER (CBS) - An 8-year-old boy who was missing for nearly a full day, has been found unharmed.
David Ndayishimiye disappeared yesterday around 2 pm.
David's father told police that he was in the process of giving the boy a haircut; he started to give the boy a reverse Mohawk, which is a short buzz cut in the middle of the head with the sides longer, the boy apparently became upset with the haircut and took off.
Police say they searched throughout the night and continued through the morning.
The boy told investigators he had spent the evening at his friend's house and when it got dark he was too afraid to walk home so he stayed the night.
Investigators are working with the boy to locate the home that he stayed at and to see why an adult there didn't contact the parents or authorities.
