Fallen Worcester Fire Lt. Jason Menard Posthumously Awarded Medal Of Honor
WORCESTER (CBS) – Fallen Worcester Fire Lt. Jason Menard was posthumously given the Medal of Honor on Monday during the Massachusetts Firefighter of the Year ceremony.
Menard died in a house fire on November 13, 2019 after helping save the life of fellow firefighter Christopher Pace.
The veteran firefighter was 39 years old when he died. He left behind a wife and three children.
Menard's family was at the ceremony to accept the award in his honor.
