Woman Sexually Assaulted In Brighton Home Invasion

BRIGHTON (CBS) – Boston police say a woman was sexually assaulted at her home in Brighton Tuesday evening.

It happened in the area of Webley Street just after 5 p.m.

"A male suspect gained entry to a residence and appeared before the female victim," police said in a statement.

After attacking the woman, the man ran off and the victim called police.

She was taken to a hospital where she was treated for what police say are "non-life threatening injuries."

The suspect is described as black, Hispanic or Portuguese, with a medium complexion.  He's about 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, with a thin build and short black, gelled hair.

He spoke either Spanish or Portuguese.

Police are increasing patrols in the area.
