Woman Reports Attempted Sexual Assault In South End
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston police are increasing patrols in the South End after a woman reported an attempted sexual assault early Friday morning.
At around 4:45 a.m., a female victim reported that she was walking near Dartmouth Street and Columbus Avenue in the South End when she was attacked.
The female said the man approached her from behind and physically assaulted her. She said she then defended herself, causing the suspect to flee the scene toward Clarendon Street.
The suspect was described as a man possibly in his 20's with a slim build. He was wearing a black hoodie with something covering his face, and jeans and plaid boxer shorts.
The victim was unable to provide the race of the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
