Woman Killed, Man Burned In Lawrence Fire
LAWRENCE (CBS) – One person was killed and another seriously injured in a fire at a housing complex for the elderly and disabled Friday morning.
It happened at Rita Hall on Hampshire Street around 10:30 a.m.
Lawrence police chief John Romero told WBZ-TV a woman was found dead in an apartment and a man who lived in the same unit was found badly burned outside.
He was rushed to the hospital on a medical rescue helicopter.
It's not clear yet how the fire started.
No names have been released.
