Grad Student Hit And Killed By Pickup Truck Near Bentley College
WALTHAM (CBS) - Police in Waltham are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident involving a Bentley College graduate student.
Twenty-three-year-old Vivian Lin of China was hit by a pickup truck while crossing Beaver Street Friday afternoon near campus.
Bystanders performed CPR on Lin until an ambulance arrived. She was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
The driver, a 41-year-old Waltham man, is not facing any charges at this time.
"Vivian was pursuing a masters degree in Accounting and joined Bentley in fall of 2010," the school said in a statement.
"She graduated from Beijing Technology and Business University in July 2010 with a bachelor of science degree in International Economics and Trade. She had recently accepted a position with PwC in China."
