Woman Falls Out Of Moving Vehicle In Barnstable
BARNSTABLE (CBS) - A woman was hospitalized after falling out of a moving jeep in Barnstable on Sunday afternoon.
66-year-old Karen Sanchez was in the passenger seat without her seat belt on when her door flew open and she fell out.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. as Sanchez's husband, Adalberto, was turning the car from Center St. onto Main St. He tried to grab her, but was unable to keep her in the vehicle.
Barnstable Police happened to be in the area and called the accident in.
Sanchez suffered some bruising, as well as a bump on her head, but was sitting up when authorities arrived.
Police said the door was either not closed properly or had a faulty latch.
