Woman dies in North Shore crash
Massachusetts State Police say one woman was killed and another seriously injured in a vehicle collision on I-95 in Newbury at about 11am Wednesday.
Police say the car was traveling north near the Newbury-Newburyport line when a second car tried to move into its lane.
The 18-year-old woman driving the first car lost control and rolled over into the median strip. She was seriously injured and transported to Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport for treatment.
Her passenger, a 37-year-old woman, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at Anna Jaques Hospital a short time later. Her name has not yet been released.
