Tony Timmons came home with his 2-year-old son and was caught by surprise to see a woman upstairs.

"She was in the middle of my bedroom, and then she got frantic and was telling me to get out of her house, this is all her stuff," said Timmons.

Timmons then called police, and that's when the woman, identified as Wanda Christiansen, allegedly tried to walk away with a purse full of jewelry, some birth certificates and social security cards.

"As mentally incapacitated as she may have been, she seemed to have the right frame of mind to want birth certificates and social security cards," said Timmons. "It's probably not her first time around the block."

But, Timmons pushed back and pinned her to the floor until police arrived.

Police said Christiansen has been arrested before. She was previously charged with stealing over $10,000 in welfare benefits and was also convicted for cocaine possession.
