Woman Allegedly Stabs Co-Worker With Wooden Hair Piece Outside Norwell KFC
NORWELL (CBS) - A KFC employee attacked another employee with a wooden hair spike during an argument outside the restaurant in Norwell on Tuesday.
Rosa Monteiro, 25, allegedly stabbed the victim with the hair piece in the chest, causing a 1/2-inch cut at around 5 p.m.
Monteiro, who is from Brockton, fled the scene with a man and her 4-year-old daughter, but police caught up with her a short time later on Pond Street in Norwell and arrested her for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The victim was taken to South Shore Hospital, but police said the injury did not appear to be serious.
Police said that the wooden spike was a "legitimate hair piece commonly used by women."
Monteiro was later released on $140 cash bail.
