Woman, 89, Killed After Fire At Haverhill Home
HAVERHILL (CBS) – An 89-year-old woman pulled from a burning building in Haverhill on Sunday morning was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
She was rushed to Merrimack Valley Hospital after being rescued from the third floor apartment of Merrivista, a senior housing complex. Smoke was seen pouring from the windows of the woman's apartment and through the hallways.
She died a couple hours later of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters first responded to a one-alarm fire at around 7:50 a.m. The complex had to be evacuated.
The state fire marshal's office and local authorities are working to determine the cause of the fire.
