Wintry Mix to Rain
We have several reports (esp. in the higher elevations of Central Massachusetts) of sleet, snow, and rain. Some areas have picked up between 0.5"-1" of slushy snow. With this being said, there are numerous advisories, watches, and warnings including Winter Weather Advisories, Wind Advisories, and Gale Warnings. The precipitation will transition to all rain this afternoon as highs hover between 40-45F. Winds will gust up to 35+mph from the north-northeast.
The culprit for this weather is an upper level low that will slowly meander to the southeast, but that won't be until early Wednesday morning. We will have a chance of rain along with gusty winds thru that time period. The weather will be much quieter as we prepare to end out the work week.
