Wintry Feel To The 1st Week Of Spring

Peeks of sunshine this morning will lose their grip as clouds continue to thicken this morning.

Late-day light rain/snow will arrive across southeastern Mass late this afternoon while it won't reach the northern suburbs until early tonight.

Watch Melissa's forecast

Tonight, the snow will add up to 2-4" in portions of southeastern Mass/central Mass/higher elevations (Winter Weather Advisory)while the areas north of the Pike will wake up to 1-2" of snow Thursday morning.

The Cape/Islands will most likely end up with 1-2" of snow because models depict more bouts of rain/snow along with light snow tonight.  If it stays all snow, those areas would also receive 2-4" of snow.

The light snow will continue through Thursday afternoon before slowly tapering late in the day. This light snow will also mix with some raindrops as temperatures rise into the upper 30s.  An additional inch of snow is possible Thursday.

The winter-like chill will fill the air through the 1st weekend of Spring.   Temperatures remain in the upper 30s to lower 40s through early next week.  With a cyclonic flow, diurnal cloud cover can be anticipated as well as a brief snow shower or two, mainly across Northern New England.
