Winter-Like Feel

It was a cold and blustery weekend, and the trend will continue thru the work week.  Mostly cloudy skies will prevail thru midweek as an upper level trough is in place.  The sunniest, yet coldest day will be Thursday.

A low pressure system deriving in Alberta (aka 'Alberta Clipper') will bring us snow showers starting late-day Friday thru Friday night.  'Alberta Clippers' do not typically contain a bulk of moisture so I'd say there's potential for a 1"-3" snowfall.

Then, the temperatures moderate thru the weekend.  We will be watching another storm system approaching from our southwest which will be a much bigger concern. The overnight models are depicting a rain event (mixed precip. at the onset of precipitation), but a change in the track farther to the east would mean a snow storm for New England.  We will be watching the track closely as the weekend nears.

Welcome back to work and sSchool!

Melissa :)
