Winter Feeling

This 'Winter' has proven to be rather fickle.

Check: Current Conditions | Weather Map Center | Interactive Radar

We have been hanging on during these temperature swings.  Here comes another one.  This is a 'downhill' swing as we head into the weekend.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

Temperatures are on the cusp of freezing (32F) so we are facing a light icy mix north and west of Boston.

These same areas are under Winter Weather or Freezing Rain Advisories this morning.

Cities and towns south of Boston will have a few showers this morning.

High temperatures will be in the middle and upper 40s.

These high temperatures will be reached by midday before winds pick-up and temperatures begin to drop this afternoon.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the entire viewing area as southwest winds will be sustained at 20-30 mph and gusting up to 50mph through the day.

Another shot of cold air on Saturday will allow for even colder air to seep in this weekend. It's going to be a cold and blustery weekend.

Saturday will be partly cloudy and breezy with high temperatures in the 30-35F range.

Pats v. Broncos forecast:

Kick-off @ 8pm will be mostly clear, breezy, and cold with temps in the lower 20s.  By the 4th quarter, skies will be clear, winds will be calmer, and temperatures will be in the mid-teens...Brrr!

Sunday will be sunny, breezy, and even colder in the 20-25F range.

This winter's ups-and-downs will continue next week...

Happy FRRRiday!

Melissa :)
