Whole Foods Recalling Chicken Salad, Pasta Salad After Positive Listeria Test
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) -- Whole Foods is recalling certain chicken salads and pasta salads that may have been contaminated with listeria.
The recall affects bulk and packaged Curry Chicken Salad and Classic Deli Pasta Salad sold in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey stores.
The salads were sold in stores between Oct. 18 and Oct. 22, and have a sell by date of Oct. 23.
The FDA says that some of the products tested positive for listeria during a routine inspection at Whole Foods' North Atlantic kitchen facility.
No illnesses have been reported yet. Listeria can make the elderly, young children or anyone with a weakened immune system seriously ill.
Whole Foods is offering a full refund for anyone who bought the recalled products.
