Where The Celtics Draft Picks Stand

BOSTON (CBS) -- Now that the NBA regular season is over, we have a much better idea of where the Celtics will be drafting this June. Here's what you need to know about the Celtics' haul of 2016 draft picks.
First Round
Brooklyn Nets Pick (Third-highest odds to win the lottery): Oh, Nets. One of the biggest robberies in sports has paid off yet again, as the Celtics take ownership of Brooklyn's first round pick that just happens to carry the third highest odds of winning the draft lottery. Their 21-61 record wasn't quite bad enough for last place this year, but it's still obviously an incredibly valuable pick. Even if the Celtics don't win the lottery, the pick could be swung in an off-season deal - Thanks Billy King.
Here's a breakdown of the Celtics' lottery odds (The lottery will be held on May 17):
- First overall: 15.6 percent
- Second: 15.7 percent
- Third: 15.6 percent
- Fourth: 22.6 percent
- Fifth: 26.5 percent
- Sixth: 4 percent
16th or 17th overall (Dallas Mavericks): The Celtics hold Dallas's first round pick as a result of the 2014 Rajon Rondo trade that also brought Jae Crowder to Boston. The Mavs ended the season in a tie with Memphis at 42-40, but we won't know whether the pick will be 16th or 17th until the NBA holds a tiebreaker drawing, which should take place within the next few days.
21st-24th overall (Boston Celtics): Since the Celtics finished in a tie with the Hornets, Hawks, and Heat, we won't know the exact pick here either until the tiebreaker drawing. The pick could be anywhere between 21st and 24th overall.
Second Round
31st overall (Philadelphia 76ers)
35th overall (Minnesota Timberwolves)
45th or 46th overall (Dallas Mavericks)
If the Mavs pick is the 16th pick in the first round, this second-rounder will be the 46th overall pick. The order in the second round is inversed if there is a tie, so it would be the 45th overall pick if the Mavericks pick in the first round ends up No. 17.
51st-54th overall (Miami Heat)
Same story as above, just more flipping and flopping. This pick will be 54th if the Heat land the 21st pick in the first round, 53rd if they pick 22nd, 52nd if they select 23rd and 51st if they end up with the 24th overall pick.
Cavaliers Pick (58)
The NBA Draft will be held on June 23 in Brooklyn.
