What a Late-Summer Stretch!

The jetstream will begin to flatten out into 'zonal' position before supplying some ridging this weekend. This will result in a tranquil weather pattern throughout the extended forecast.

Today, we'll see partly cloudy skies by midday with an ever-so-slight chance of an isolated shower this afternoon, mainly across Western New England. Winds will become WSW at ~5-10mph this afternoon which will very well allow for a feeble seabreeze to develop. Highs will reach the lower 80s inland and 75-80F for the the beaches and coastal neighborhoods.

Wednesday will be a mere carbon copy with highs in the lower 80s...cooler coast. There will be mostly sunny skies will a very slim chance of a spot afternoon storm for Northern and Western New England.

Thursday and Friday will be sun-filled days with highs in the middle to upper 80s...cooler for the South Coast/Cape Cod/Islands.

This weekend also looks good with plenty of sunshine. Inland communities will hover in the lower 80s while onshore winds will keep the coast in the 70s.

It's a great week to observe the night sky with clear conditions as well as several visible planets and a waxing crescent moon.
