Whale Spotted In Boston Harbor
BOSTON (CBS) -- An injured, juvenile humpback whale was spotted in Boston Harbor Monday.
The whale was seen by a Boston Harbor Cruise boat that was going to fuel up around 8 a.m., according to the New England Aquarium.
The whale was first seen near the airport and was later seen again near Spectacle Island.
Massachusetts Environmental Police and the Coast Guard are maintaining a safety zone around the whale to protect it from harm.
As of noon Monday, the whale was headed out to sea.
The New England Aquarium says the whale is about 30 feet long and has an injury to its tail.
