WGBH Workers Protest New Contract
BOSTON (CBS) -- A new union contract is being implemented at WGBH, despite a protest by workers.
The new contract came after seven months of negotiations. Workers staged the rally Tuesday hoping to persuade the station management to return to the bargaining table.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Bernice Corpuz reports.

They were hoping to work out certain details on the contract, including what's called artistic discretion. "The World" anchor Marco Werman says it's one of three ways a union member could lose his or her job.
WGBH spokeswoman Jean Hopkins calls the policy a standard among most broadcast operations.
The station can legally implement its final offer, even though 93 percent of union members rejected it last week.
