Weymouth police shoot knife-wielding teen
WEYMOUTH (WBZ) ― A knife-wielding teenager was shot by Weymouth police early Monday morning.
Officers were called to an apartment complex on Memorial Drive around 1 a.m for a report of a distraught 16-year-old.
Police say the teen had a knife, refused to put it down and confronted the two officers.
One fired a shot, hitting the boy in the shoulder.
He was taken to South Shore Hospital where he's listed in stable condition.
The officers were not hurt.
There's no word yet on why the teen was distraught.
