Disabled Westminster Man Terrorized In Home Invasion
WESTMINSTER (CBS) – Police say a man and woman broke into a Westminster home, tied up the homeowner and took off this his cash and his phone.
Living with multiple sclerosis is tough enough for Jon Webb, but now he is angry that he was robbed. The two intruders were armed with a bat and a knife.
"I thought I was going to get killed," says Webb. "They tied my legs to the legs of a kitchen chair, they tied my wrists behind my back. "
Webb is a prosperous businessman, owning a medical device company, but he does not know why he was targeted. He wonders if it is because of his disability.
He was not hurt during the ordeal, and was able to break free and call police. Investigators are concerned about the brazen nature of the home invasion which occurred Sunday evening while it was still light out.
Webb says, "We're in a small town here, but apparently we're not immune and I hope that others will take note and do whatever they can to protect themselves."
The male suspect was armed with a baseball bat and described as approximately six feet tall, slim to medium build with a deep voice. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head and a dark colored bandanna covering the lower half of his face and was wearing sunglasses.
The female was armed with a knife and described to be wearing the same clothing along with colored pants. She also had a bandanna covering her face.
