Westfield Police Officer Struck And Killed By Dump Truck
WESTFIELD (CBS) - A Westfield police officer was struck and killed by a dump truck on Thursday morning.
Jose Torres was working a traffic detail on Pontoosic Road when he was struck around 7:30 a.m., according to CBS 3 in Springfield.
He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Torres was a 27-year veteran of the Westfield Police.
No other information was immediately available.
