West Yarmouth Police Investigate Armed Home Invasion
WEST YARMOUTH (CBS) -- The police are seeking two male suspects in an alleged armed home invasion Friday night on Melissa Drive.
At about 7 p.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to investigate a reported home invasion, the Yarmouth Police said in a prepared statement. When they arrived, the officers were told two male assailants forced entry into the home, assaulted the residents and stole an undetermined amount of money.
The suspects were described as one white male, average height and build, and one Brazilian male, average height and build. Both suspects were wearing dark-colored sweatshirts and masks to conceal their identities.
The victims said one of the suspects brandished a gun during the attack, the police said.
The suspects reportedly fled on foot before officers arrived. A K-9 unit searched for the suspects but could not track a scent.
