Welker Passes Troy Brown To Become Patriots All-Time Receptions Leader
BOSTON (CBS) - It took him nearly the entire first half, but Patriots' receiver Wes Welker took his place his New England history on Sunday afternoon.
Welker needed just one reception entering Sunday's game to surpass Troy Brown and become the Patriots all-time receptions leader, and did so with a 25-yard catch right before halftime for his 558th career reception.

Welker finished the 20-18 loss to Arizona with five receptions for 95 yards, but had little to say about passing Brown following the game.
"You want to win the game. It is what it is," he said.
Welker broke Brown's mark in just 79 games with New England. Brown collected 557 career receptions in 192 games over his 15 year career with the Patriots. He is also very close to passing Brown and into second place on New England's all-time receiving yard list. At 6,214, Welker needs 153 more receiving yards to move past Brown's 6,366 yards.
Stanley Morgan leads the Patriots with 10,352 career receiving yards.
Welker did not actually start Sunday's game against Arizona, with Julian Edelman getting the starting nod over #83.
