Welker Heads to PUP?
The Boston Globe and ESPN are among multiple outlets reporting this morning that the New England Patriots have placed Wide Receiver Wes Welker, linebacker Shawn Crable and rookie lineman Kade Weston on the active/Physically Unable to Perform List. Any of the three players can be activated at any time off the list and join team drills.
This move is seen by many as a formality to keep the Patriots training camp roster options open for the short term. Camp begins on Thursday morning.
