Weekend Looks Good...

Yesterday the stretch of dry days ended, today the stretch of warm days ended...but it wasn't that bad...highs still made it to the lower 50s.  The day's most prominent feature was the wind, gusts as high as 40 mph along the coast...that made the lower 50s feel like 30s and 40s and it also successfully stripped trees of their leaves.  Good news, there will be plenty of fine weather over the weekend for some good old-fashioned raking...maybe my least favorite activity!

Temps will start out on the cool side tomorrow and the wind, while not as strong as today, will still keep a chill in the air.  By Sunday, the winds will back from the NW to the SW...pumping in another round of warm air for the end of the weekend and early next week.  This time around, there will be more in the way of cloud cover and therefore limiting the warm up to the mid 60s...but still that's at least 10 degrees above average.

Overall, the next couple of weeks still appear to be warmer than average and there really isn't any sign of true Arctic air infiltrating the Northeast.  In fact, the Climate Prediction Center shows very warm conditions in the East the next couple of weeks.
