We Made It...

It took a few days but we finally shook the unsettled pattern and now for the reward, days of sunny dry conditions!  The upper level pattern remains stagnant and this is going to finally work in our favor as surface high pressure will settle over us and anchor itself offshore later this weekend.  With the upper levels showing blocking the high will be able to protect us from any wet weather through early next week.

This high has very dry air associated with it and with light wind tonight, expect the triple c's...clear, calm and cool.  Lows will mostly get down into the lower 40s but low-lying areas across the countryside may dip into the upper 30s and in Western and Northern New England some patchy frost is possible!

Temps will rebound very quickly tomorrow and will be between 65-70 by lunch with light wind.  The weak gradient will allow for a seabreeze to develop in the afternoon as the interior warms up to the 70-75 range the coast will actually cool to 60-65...but 100% sunshine will offset a chill until late evening when the sun sets.

Over the weekend, the high will settle offshore a bit...far enough away for SW winds to heat up the interior but still close enough for sea breezes to develop at the coast.  This means that highs will climb to 80 inland on Saturday while the coast only gets to the 60s and 70s...and 85 on Sunday while the coast remains in the 60s and 70s.  As far as sky cover goes, Saturday should another 100% sunshine kind of day.  Sunday remains somewhat interesting with some computer guidance ejecting a rogue storm our way from the south with clouds and some wet weather.  Considering the upper level pattern is all blocked up I would favor a slower outcome, meaning that the surface low and it's associated wet weather be sluggish in getting to Southern New England and I'll hold off on introducing showers until Monday when the cut-off low over the SE US opens up and moves north.

The low should be a slow mover in our coastal waters early next week which will lead to another unsettled stretch early next week.
