WBZ Water Cooler: Augusta National Adds Female Members
BOSTON (CBS) - When Augusta National Golf Club, the home of the Masters, reopens in October, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and financier Darla Moore will become the first women allowed to be members.
For 80 years Augusta has been a men only club. As a result, Augusta has been under fire for years. In April, President Barack Obama said the club should allow women.
The WBZ Water Cooler broke the news of the Augusta Policy change to some local Bay State female golfers. Some were thrilled, some not so much.
