WBZ-TV, Boston Globe To Host Final Senate Debate Between Lynch, Markey
BOSTON (CBS) - The Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate, Rep. Stephen F. Lynch and Rep. Edward J. Markey will participate in a live, one-hour television debate moderated by WBZ political analyst Jon Keller with questioning by a Boston Globe panelist on Monday, April 22, from 7-8PM.
This will be the final debate before the Primary Election on April 30. The debate will also be streamed live on CBSBoston.com, www.boston.com, www.bostonglobe.com, as well as simulcast live on WBZ-AM NewsRadio 1030.
The format of the live debate will allow candidates up to 90 seconds to respond to questioning from Keller and the Boston Globe panelist, followed by extended periods of open debate and rebuttal. Candidates will be free to question one another and engage in direct exchanges.
Lynch and Markey are running for the Senate seat that became vacant when John Kerry was sworn in as Secretary of State. Both candidates have called for six debates before the primary.
