WBZ Alums Gary LaPierre And Morton Dean Remember JFK Assassination
BOSTON (CBS) - Most Americans over the age of 55 remember where they were and what they were doing on November 22, 1963, the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.

To mark the 50th anniversary of that day, WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Joe Mathieu spoke to his predecessors Morton Dean and Gary LaPierre about their recollections of that tragic day and the days that followed.

Dean was on his way to the State House in Boston to interview the Lieutenant Governor when he heard the news. He would later work for CBS News and ABC News.

LaPierre, who would replace Dean at WBZ in 1964 and stay until 2006, was in Manchester, New Hampshire at the time, serving as the news director of a radio station there.
