Wayward Sea Otter Prompts Search At Logan Airport
BOSTON (CBS) - A rather unconventional search took place in East Boston Thursday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, a wayward sea otter was spotted on the side of a road near Logan Airport.
Massport spokesperson Phil Orlandella chuckled when asked about the search operation, but confirmed that it did take place.
He said the seal was never near any of the runways and did not pose a danger.
Environmental police believe the otter probably returned to Boston Harbor. But, Orlandella says they were keeping an eye out just to make sure.
