Wayland Native Safe In Japan
OKINAWA, Japan (CBS) -- Wayland native Alia Greenbaum, who was teaching near Sendai, Japan, when the earthquake hit on March 11, is now safe.
Greenbaum is now at a US military base in Okinawa. In the days after the quake and tsunami Greenbaum's family could not reach her. Once they finally did they couldn't find a way to get her to safety.
Greenbaum has been teaching at an elementary school in Japan for the last four years.
