Sinkhole On Route 1 Norwood Patched Up
NORWOOD (CBS) – Repair crews hope to have all lanes of Route 1 south opened for the afternoon rush hour Monday.
A water main break early Sunday morning created a huge sinkhole at Morse Street in front of the Boch Collision Center.

Hundreds of residents and about a dozen restaurants lost water for several hours.

Crews fixed the 60-year-old 14-inch pipe and filled in the hole overnight so one lane of traffic was open for the morning rush hour.
However, the road needs to be repaved. Authorities hope to have it done by early Monday afternoon.
