Watch Andrew Benintendi's First Career RBI In Big Day Against Dodgers [VIDEOS]
BOSTON (CBS) -- Andrew Benintendi had his first big-time performance in a Boston Red Sox uniform on Sunday, collecting three hits against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Sunday's 8-5 loss. He earned the first two RBIs and first stolen base of his major league career in the process.
Benintendi pulled a Brandon McCarthy breaking ball to right field for a base hit with two outs and runners on first and second in the top of the fourth inning, scoring Brock Holt for his first career RBI.
The hit put the Red Sox up 2-0 at the time. You can watch his first career RBI in the video below.
Benintendi singled to left field just one inning earlier in the top of the third, after which he stole second for his first career stolen base. Later, in the top of the sixth, Benintendi singled home Aaron Hill to cut the Red Sox' deficit to 6-4. You can watch the rest of Benintendi's highlights at MLB.com.
Overall, Benintendi is 5-for-13 (.385) with two RBI and a steal in five games played since getting the call to the big leagues.
