Warmest Day
We continue to celebrate and observe Veterans Day on this Monday. If you happen to have the day off, it's going to be lovely! Besides some patchy morning fog, skies will be mostly sunny and we are tapping into very warm temperatures...65-70F! Average highs for November 12th are 53F. Today's record highs are as follows---Boston-76F in 1909, Worcester-73F in 1909, Providence-75F in 1909.
A strong cold front that is supplying a sharp contrast in temperatures across our the Nation's midsection and the Great Lakes Regions is heading our way tomorrow. Showers will move into our far western neighborhoods early Tuesday morning. Then, the showers will spread eastward. Winds will be breezy as they shift from south-southwest to north-northwest behind the front. Highs will fall back into the middle 50s.
Wednesday will be a mostly sunny day except for stubborn cloud cover around Cape Cod that will be slow to move offshore. Highs will be near 50F. The geographic positioning of a surface high will provide create a 'backdoor cold front' effect. Winds will be north-northeast.
Thursday will be partly cloudy with an upper level disturbance swinging in from the south and traveling into Northern New England. High temps will be near 50F again.
Friday will be a mere carbon copy of Thursday.
This upcoming weekend also looks tranquil with a sunshine on Saturday and increasing late-day clouds on Sunday. Highs will be in the around 50-55F on both days.
This week's night sky will include a crescent/new moon, the Leonid Meteor Shower, etcetera. Read on.
