Walpole Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

BOSTON (CBS) -- A state employee from Walpole was arrested and arraigned on child pornography possession charges Tuesday.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey said Wednesday that Michael Kickham, 53, is charged with one count of possession of child pornography. He pleaded not guilty.

Kickham works for the Administrative Office of the Juvenile Court. Healey's office said that, in his position as an implementation coordinator, he did not have contact with children.

In October, State Police and AG Healey's office began an investigation after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children gave them information about an email address--later found to be Kickham's--that was allegedly viewing child pornography.

Massachusetts State Police executed a search warrant on the computers and storage devices in Kickham's Walpole home on January 26, and then on the computers and storage devices in his work office January 27. These devices allegedly contained child pornography.

The AG's office said the investigation is ongoing.

Kickham was ordered to submit to GPS monitoring, have no contact with the victims, give up his passport, not leave the state without prior approval, not have computer or internet access except for work, have no contact with children under 18, and stay away from schools, parks, or other places children congregate.

He is scheduled to be back in court for a pre-trial hearing March 22.
