Walk For Hunger Raises $3.6 Million
BOSTON (CBS) - It was a beautiful day for a stroll as some 42,000 people came out to walk for hunger on Sunday.
Project Bread held its 43rd annual Walk For Hunger, with participants stepping off from the Boston Common. It's a 20-mile course that winds through Newton, Watertown, Brookline, Cambridge and back to the Common.

Around $3.6 million was raised to provide food for 448 emergency food programs in Massachusetts cities and towns. The funds will provide a hot meal or a bag of groceries for hungry families next winter.
