Man Stabbed In Neck With Golf Club Shaft During Fight

WAKEFIELD (CBS) – An 18-year-old was taken to an area hospital by MedFlight after he was stabbed in the neck with the shaft of a golf club during a fight in Wakefield.

Massachusetts State Police said three male friends, all 18-19 years old, were involved in a fight near Breakheart Reservation Tuesday night.

One of the teenagers told police he was using a golf club as a cane before the incident. It broke during the fight and it was used to stab the 18-year-old victim.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries during the incident, but is expected to survive. He was semi-conscious as he was transported to Mass General Hospital.

Day is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.
