BOSTON (CBS) -- Wednesday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, and many restaurants are saying "thank you" to those who have served by offering free meals and other freebies for veterans and active military service members.
Here's a look at some of the eateries in the Boston area with Veterans Day giveaways:
Applebee's will offer a limited menu of free entrees for veterans and active duty military.
Chili's has a selection of free meals for veteran and active duty military diners.
Denny's is offering a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon for active, inactive and retired military personnel.
Friendly's is inviting veterans and active military members to have a free Big-Two-Do with coffee for breakfast, and a complimentary All American Burger with fries and a drink for lunch and dinner.
Hooters will offer five different free meals to veterans and active military. Drink purchase required.
IHOP is giving out a free stack of Red, White & Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to all veteran and active duty military.
Little Caesars Pizza is offering veterans and active military a free $5 HOT-N-READY lunch combo that comes with four slices of deep dish pizza and a soda.
