Vandals Hit Banks, Fed, Other Downtown Boston Buildings
BOSTON (CBS) - Police say they're investigating a rash of graffiti vandalism in Downtown Boston discovered in the last 24 hours.
Officers put out a list of many of the 21 locations where the graffiti was discovered.
Much of the graffiti, which was laced with profanities, bore a political message in line with the Occupy Boston movement.
No one inside Occupy Boston has taken responsibility and at this point, police are not saying whether they believe there is any connection.
They are asking anyone with information to contact them.
The majority of the locations and graffiti found are described below:
• 100 Federal Street (Bank of America) – graffiti that reads: "Occupy" - "Bad for America" and "Yer building is crowding our skyline"
• 60 South Street (Two Financial Center) - graffiti described as an Anarchist symbol
• In the area of 295 Franklin Street – graffiti that reads: "F*ck the Fed" spray painted on the side of a pickup truck
• 101 Arch Street – graffiti in the shape of the letter 'A'
• 77 Franklin Street (Citizens Bank) – graffiti blue in color
• 93 Franklin Street – graffiti that reads: "End the Fed"
• 65 Franklin Street (Bank of America) – graffiti in the shape of the letter 'A'
• 30 Winter Street (Sovereign Bank) – graffiti that reads: "Corporate Persons Suck"
• 712 Winter Street (Starbucks) - graffiti that reads: "F*ck Starbucks"
• 99 Bedford Street - graffiti that reads: "Burn the Money"
• 100 Summer Street - graffiti in the shape of the letter 'A'
• 125 Summer Street - graffiti that reads: "F*ck the Fed"
• 9 East Street - graffiti that reads: "Burn the Money" and "End the Fed"
• 711 Atlantic Ave - graffiti in the shape of the letter 'A'
• 21 Custom House - graffiti in the shape of the letter 'A'
• 208 Faneuil Hall Square (Salty Dog Grill) - graffiti in the shape of the letter 'A'
• 240 Devonshire Street - graffiti that reads: "F*ck the Fed"
