Vigil Held For Capitol Police Officer Billy Evans In Hometown Of North Adams
BOSTON (CBS) – Capitol Police Officer Billy Evans was honored in his hometown of North Adams.
Dozens gathered Saturday to remember the North Adams native, some waving American flags.
Many were from law enforcement families.
The 41-year-old was killed when a driver rammed his car into the barricade where Evans was stationed outside the U.S. Capitol.
Gov. Charlie Baker ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on Tuesday while Evans will lie in honor in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.
